CCC Leads Beautification Efforts of US-20 in Angola

INDOT’s Adopt-a-Highway Program helps significantly reduce the roadside trash problem on Indiana’s highways.

The program coordinates with community groups that provide quarterly trash and litter pickup on two-mile segments of non-interstate Hoosier highways. CCC has adopted US-20 between John St. and S 100 E in Angola. We had our first clean up in March and our second in June, gathering several bags worth of trash and finding interesting items, like a coin sorter.  Thank you very much to everyone who has helped care for our environment and our community through our Adopt-a-Highway initiative.  We have some photos of our wonderful volunteers on our Facebook Page.

Come join us next time in our efforts to improve the environment and beautify our town! Our next clean up days are September 29, 2018 and November 17, 2018 around 11:00 AM after the CCC General Meeting and Potluck.
