In honor of Bullying Prevention Month, please join Purdue University Extension and Community Coalition for Change of Steuben County as they bring together members from the local community to discuss steps we all can take to combat bullying. This event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Carnegie Public Library, 322 South Wayne Street, Angola. The program is free and open to the community.
Purdue University Extension and Community Coalition for Change of Steuben County began this conversation last month with the showing of the documentary, Reject, which examines the serious impact of social rejection, followed by an open conversation identifying and discussing local efforts to promote acceptance and prevent bullying. To learn more about local efforts in the anti-bullying movement, please join us on Wednesday and check out Amy Oberlin’s article in the Herald Republican “Community comes together to fight bullying.”
